Bible Giving Principles

Giving is not just an act of generosity, it’s a spiritual principle rooted in Scripture. The Bible teaches that giving is an expression of faith, gratitude, and trust in God’s provision. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, we are reminded: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Giving is not about obligation, but about participating in God’s work and aligning our hearts with His purposes.

Beyond supporting the mission of the church, giving also brings blessing to our own lives. Proverbs 11:25 says: “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” When we give, we invest in God’s kingdom, help transform lives, and invite God’s favor into our own lives. Whether through financial gifts, time, or talents, giving is a tangible way to live out our faith and leave a lasting impact for generations to come.
